If the history of America were the night sky, then Dr. King would be its brightest and most brilliant star – its North Star. 

In America’s most sacred texts and charters, the nation claims to embody liberty and justice for all, equality of opportunity for all, the freedom for all to pursue happiness. Until Dr. King captivated America and transformed this nation’s consciousness on race, “for all” irrefutably meant “for the select few.”  

Dr. King, through his words and deeds and through the courage of his convictions showed America how to become America.  

He gifted America and Americans a moral compass, a North Star, to illuminate a path toward a bona fide inclusive democracy rather than an aspirational democracy that existed solely on paper and in theory.  

It was Dr. King’s unique ability to make manifest those words “for all” that make him America’s only uncompromised founding father and the greatest patriot this country has ever known.

El Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. – la ‘estrella guía’ de Estados Unidos

Si la historia de Estados Unidos fuera el cielo nocturno, el Dr. King sería su estrella más fuerte y brillante, la estrella Polar. 

En los textos y las actas constitutivas más sagrados de EE. UU., la nación afirma personificar la libertad y justicia para todos, la igualdad de oportunidades para todos y la libertad de todos de buscar la felicidad. Hasta que el Dr. King cautivó a EE. UU. y transformó la conciencia de raza de esta nación, “para todos” significaba irrefutablemente “unos pocos selectos”.  

A través de sus palabras y actos y gracias a la valentía de sus convicciones, el Dr. King le mostró a EE. UU. cómo convertirse en EE. UU.  

Él otorgó a EE. UU. y a los estadunidenses una moral rectora, una estrella Polar, que ilumina el camino hacia una democracia inclusiva y de buena fe en lugar de un proyecto de democracia que solo existía en textos y en teoría.  

La habilidad única del Dr. King de hacer reales las palabras “para todos” lo convierte en el único prócer intransigente de EE. UU. y en el patriota más grande que ha producido este país.
